Traditional Braces

Traditionally, braces are the most common form of orthodontic treatment. They are typically used to correct bite issues, misaligned teeth, or tooth crowding. Commonly worn by preteens and teenagers, metal braces are usually installed for one to three years.

In addition to quick treatment times and customizable brackets, regular braces can be used for multiple types of orthodontic correction. Although traditional braces are relatively easy to clean after eating, they come with a few dietary restrictions, such as no hard or sticky foods.

Invisalign

The Invisalign system uses clear aligners to realign teeth. As the name suggests, these aligners are completely clear and unnoticeable to the naked eye. Invisalign is made of plastic and is typically most popular with adults wanting to correct their bite or straighten overcrowded or misaligned teeth.

Invisalign has a shorter treatment time and can be the most aesthetically pleasing option for those looking to brighten their smile; however, clear aligner trays have to be swapped out after a certain period as the bite and teeth adjust.
